Humbled
Sunday was a great example for me how through struggle we grow and learn.
During our soccer game we played a team that was awesome. They were well prepared, motivated, and had a tremendous amount of fun during the game. The team I coach had a little different spirit going on. We were hungry, a little tired, and the coach wasn't prepared well or able to adjust well during the game. I had our team stay in an aggressive attacking posture even though time after time it didn't work out well for us. Only late in the game did I realize the need to shift strategy and in doing so the impact to the team. We began to play a more defensive style and it had moments of brilliance.
I learned to be willing to change sooner and to make sure that I am aware how much fun the team is having. Ultimately the fun is the most important part.
